Text: Children’s blessing (for boys and girls, alternately)

The children’s blessing traditionally bestowed upon children in the home on Shabbat asks that God keep the children like Ephraim and Menashe (for boys), or like Sarah, Rivka, Leah and Rachel (for girls). This is followed by Birkat HaCohanim, the priestly blessing: “May God bless you and keep you. May God’s presence shine light upon you and be gracious to you. May God lift His face to you and send you peace.”
