Text: Exodus 35:1 - 40:38

Size: 11"x14"

In this double Torah Portion, God gives the Israelite people instructions for constructing the Mishkan, the Ark, the Priestly Vestments, and the Choshen (breastplate). Bezalel was put in charge of the construction of the Mishkan and Ark, which he can be seen working on in the piece. The other artisans of the people, including the women, were put to work on creating the components, from dying the animal skins red to go on top of the Mishkan, smithing the gold into a breastplate with the twelve stones (the names of which can be found in each stone’s square), sewing the priestly garments out of fabrics of crimson, blue, and violet. The supplies had all been donated by the people, from the fabrics and dyes to the metals and stones.

This piece can be personalized with an inscription of the name and date of a Bar or Bat Mitzvah! Be sure to include the spelling of the Hebrew name if possible (to type in Hebrew: http://www.branah.com/hebrew ).
