Text: Genesis 18:1-22:24
11"x14"

In Parashat Vayera, three visitors come to Abraham and Sarah's tent. Abraham rushes to give them warm hospitality -- food, drink, a wash -- and they prophesy that his wife Sarah will have a son in a year. Sarah overhears this proclamation from the opening of the tent and she laughs -- after all, she's 90 years old, way past the age of bearing children! However, the strangers' words do come to pass, and a year later when the visitors come again, she has a son Isaac, just as they predicted. This portion also includes the story of Sodom & Gemorra, which can be seen in the center background, with the pillar of salt that Lot's wife would turn into when she would look back at the burning cities.

This piece can be personalized with an inscription of the name and date of a Bar or Bat Mitzvah! Be sure to include the spelling of the Hebrew name if possible (to type in Hebrew: http://www.branah.com/hebrew ).
