Shalom Rav is a prayer for peace:



שלום רב על ישראל עמך תשים לעולם

Shalom rav al Yisrael amcha tasim l’olam

A great peace over Your people Israel may You send forever



It’s a regular part of the evening liturgy, especially on Shabbat. I made this piece for my students as a sample of micrography done in block (most of my other pieces are written in script), and they encouraged me to make prints of it and share it with everyone else!



The prayer is only a few lines longer than the quote above, so it is repeated many times throughout the piece. In the detail images below, you can see some of the starting points for the prayer.
